Details
Easily the most fun 10 km in New Zealand. A lovely country run unlike most others that I have raced. You know that you have a special race when the primary sponsor is Mrs Wilkinson. I don't generally run events shorter than 16 km, but I do make an exception for this one. The first 7 kms are reasonably flat with small rises here and there. Between 7-9 km are two steep hills, and the last km is all downhill and very fast.
The afternoon tea is fabulous, and the price is really cheap too - about $12 per competitor.
